They offer low processing rates and fees that seem to be competitive in the market place. There certainly seems to be a small element of discussion relating to scam tactics by TMS. The people concerned perhaps have more in the way of grievances with the credit card processing company rather than their tactics being actually scam based.

I found that there are several past customers who do claim that they have suffered financially at the hands of TMS. Most of the complaints seem to stem from when a customer cancels the agreement with TMS.
One customer’s comments were along the lines that monthly payments continued after the customer had cancelled their account. Another customer spoke of charges relating to a broken terminal that wasn’t covered under the TMS terms or insurance.
Other past customers of TMS suggested that it is wise to properly read the terms and conditions of the contract prior to signing the agreement so that there are no nasty financial surprises, especially if needing to end the contract.
It seems that Total Merchant Services offer an affordable merchant services option for a small business. Judging by past customer comments it may be wise to check very carefully any documentation that requires a signature, or there may be some financial costs that could come as a shock.
